Whats New
OCTOBER 10, 2008: SheBANG! is now available on CD!! I received them mid-September and have been selling them at shows, but if any of you in the other parts of the world would like to get a copy, please email me at the link below (info@kellyjones.com) and we'll make arrangements to get you one. my new site / online distribution with Itunes, etc should be up and running in a month or so. this is just a temporary fix... and, of course, you can hear a pretty decent stream of it on the SheBANG! splash page. thanks for your support!!
AUGUST 12, 2008: Been off the radar, i know. Had to finish the record... we did... and i love it! It's called "SheBANG!" and it's so poppy and happy and fun. I hope you love it too. It's almost finished being designed... I plan to have it by the end of August just in time for the September shows in NYC. You'll be able to get it here too... the site will be getting revamped with all things SheBANG-in. ok. over and out. more later...
JANUARY 30, 2008: I'm still here. Sorry for the silence. I spent November and most of December in Nashville, TN. Met a bunch of people, performed, got a feel for the scene there. It's such a cool place. Now i'm back in NYC, preparing to finish this long awaited 3rd record, practicing for the Mike Viola residency which is happening every Friday at Joe's Pub (get tickets now... i think these shows might sell out). I'm the utility girl singing and playing various instruments and percussion. AND i have my own show at The Living Room on February 4th. Life is good and busy with music. As it should be. More later...
OCTOBER 9, 2007: I've posted one of my new songs on Myspace. It's called "Same Songs"... hope you like it. This will either be a part of an EP released in March (ish) or and LP released in May (ish).
SEPTEMBER 19, 2007: Out with the old and in with the new. I cut my hair. Short. Don't cringe! It's just hair. I was inspired by the short & sweet tresses of
Milla Jovovich... although, i'm slightly afraid i look less like her and more like a president's wife or the new
Katie Holmes. NO....i don't really think so. It looks quite cute at the moment, actually.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2007: Recording in NYC! The plan is to release 4 EPs over the next 12 months. I'd like it to feel like one LP releasing in 4 parts... one EP per quarter (as the suits say). So, the 1st one should be ready by November. That's the plan. I can't wait to start putting the songs out. They're turning out so well...
APRIL 3, 2007: Residency Announced! This May, my band and I will be playing at the Living Room (NYC, NY) every Monday night at 10pm... but that's not all... MIKE VIOLA (one of my favorite living songwriters) will also be doing a residency during the 9pm set, AND JIM CAMPILONGO will be continuing his residency every Monday at 11pm! Mondays in May are going to be special. 9pm, 10pm, 11pm. I think all 3 of our sets will have some interesting overlap where we will collaborate together. I know my sets will have some unexpected twists and turns each week.
Thanks for all of your support. I hope you get the chance to make it out to one OR ALL of the nights.

MARCH 26, 2007: Welcome to the new website! Unfortunately, because of myspace and all of its conveniences, it's taken me way too long to renovate this thing. Thanks for your patience. The new site is basically the same, only now we have this charming new look built around a little photo I took from the roof of my apartment building. It's nothing too special, but I like it. Sweet and simple.
In other news, I'm preparing to record again this spring. I have one producer who I'm VERY interested in working with (and who is interested in working with me). I think our different strengths could make for a really cool sound. I'll write more on that as I know more details and as things get confirmed... but you've probably heard of him and he's awesome... could be very exciting.
I sang background vocals on "Way Back Into Love", the big song from the movie "Music and Lyrics." Good friend Adam Schlesinger wrote a lot of the music for that film and enlisted both me and Britta Phillips (Luna) to sing. It was really fun to be apart of. If you listen really hard, you just might hear me...
Things are moving in Europe and Scandanavia! My European publicist, Peter Holmstedt (Hemifran), has successfully been getting me some radio play and reviews (going to post some of those in my press section). Looking forward to touring there eventually. You know, I'm half Welsh and a quarter Danish... it's my destiny to return to my roots.
AND recently (amusing side-note)... I've been getting a lof of new friends on myspace from the UK. But I have the sneaking suspicion that it has nothing to do with ME but rather one welsh man by the name of MR. Kelly Jones from the famous band Stereophonics... (I wonder if he knows me?)
I think that's all for now... better save some news for another day. I have a show in New York next week (Monday, April 2 @ 10pm @ the Living Room). Hope to see all of you new yorkers there.
